A few months ago, I decided to step away from Lucis, the company I co-founded.
Lucis grew out of a personal obsession with health. How to optimize it. How to measure it. How to actually take control of it. (I've been writing about this here.)
It started in a WhatsApp group. A handful of people in Europe, deep into longevity, trying to understand their bloodwork and what to do with it. We kept running into the same problem: if you wanted to take your health seriously in Europe, you still had to stitch too much together on your own.
That obsession became a community.
That community became a company.
Y Combinator backed the vision.
Lucis grew into one of Europe's leading preventive health platforms, reached thousands of people, and became the kind of company ambitious people wanted to throw themselves into.
I'm proud of what we built, grateful for everyone who believed in it, and still deeply convinced that preventive, personalized health is the future of medicine in Europe.
Leaving something you helped build is never easy.
Maxime Berthelot and Baptiste Debever have poured everything into this company. I trust where they're taking it. I'll be rooting for them every step of the way.
Next for me: I'm going back to what I love most. Starting from a problem that matters, finding the right people, and building something from the ground up.
Lucis taught me a lot. And I've never been more excited about what comes next.
